The spherical pencils are to the 8mm chunky aspect and also have a soft quality that still appears somewhat tougher than Prismacolor Premiers. There were no troubles whilst sharpening or with Main breakage. These seemed best on white paper, the colors were muted on black paper. Scholastic Quality
